So Andrea’s been sneaking off lately. When she’s supposed to be “on her way to class”, or “getting estimates for Alex’s car,” she’s actually not. She’s having an affair. With the puppies in Carol’s Critters. When I found out about this I, of course, made fun of her. But then one day we were out and I agreed to stop in and see what all the fuss was about. And OMGGGG they are SOOOO cute. They have pug puppies and pomeranian pup-pups. I about died when I saw the pomeranians, even though they’d been the background on Andrea’s phone for about a week. They look like baby bear cubs!!! But then I saw how Andrea was looking at the pugs… and so did the boss lady. She got out a pug for Andrea, who immediately melted into a love puddle of puppy kisses. And then the lady handed me the smallest of the pomeranians. And I was brought back to the day when my mom let me play with a pomeranian in the pet store back home, and then dragged me home kicking and screaming, telling me that we couldn’t get it! I remember crying the whole way home, staring out the window (I think it was raining too…), and refusing to speak to my mom.
So NATURALLY, I’ve had puppies on the brain quite a bit this week. I’m starting to think it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if I did get a pet now that I’m graduating in the Spring. That means I’ll be grown up, right? And if Andrea got one it would be hers, if I got one it would be mine, but we’d both love it like we love Audrey-kitty. On the other hand, if we ever wanted to go away for the weekend, we couldn’t just leave it with a big bowl of food like we can with Audrey… Well, there’s a lot to think about. But HERE’S what we’re up against:

The kind of dog that Andrea wants

The kind of dog that I want
Isn’t it a clear choice?
