New Discovery

I just discovered something AMAZING!

I usually delete my American Apparel emails before I even open them because I’m fiscally responsible. However, I just opened one because I might need to get a few new bras soon, and found out they’re having a BEST BOTTOM CONTEST.

So, if you want to take advantage of these girl’s low self esteem like I do, go to the American Apparel Best Bottom Contest. As of right now there are 874 “submissions.” Enjoy!

A Year Ago Today – 02/07/09

In 2009, we were way better about making trips to Gainesville for Neon Liger, Five Guys, and quiet mornings at James’ house watching Married to the Eiffel Tower. I miss crazy weekends in Gainseville! Actually, I think a year ago TODAY was my very first trip there to see Designer Drugs who had just performed at Menace Beach. Fun fact: Andrea and I weren’t even official yet when these were taken. Awww.

A Year Ago Today – MB 02/04/09

Wow, a year ago TODAY we were celebrating Ms. Megan Graham’s birthday at Menace Beach, which was still a young little thing at the time. It was the first time Hot Pink Delorean and Designer Drugs ever played together. And the pre-party wasn’t bad either… Christy had a handful of us over at her swanky downtown apartment and we enjoyed champagne and cupcakes and old school jamz. Looking back is bittersweet though, because so many of them have moved away (Robert, Megan, Lindsey, Darby…) to the NYC and Boston. Booooo them.

Monday Nights, FTW.

Mac and Cheese Pizza

Today was LADIES NIGHT at STEVIE B’S!!! So of course, Erica and I had to go eat unlimited amounts of pizza and Diet Coke. It was pretty amazing. I ate approximately one entire mac and cheese pizza and a half of a hot sauce/chicken pizza. For once I had absolutely no room for dessert. Probably because I dipped my pizza in white cheese sauce before every bite.

THREE CHEERS FOR LADIES NIGHT AT A PIZZA BUFFET!!

(best idea ever)

Red lipstick and Audrey

Audrey and I are watching HOARDERS right now. I LOVE this show. I’m not a hoarder but I find them so interesting and definitely hope that I will be able to treat hoarders when I become a psychologist someday. It comes on A&E — Mondays at 10PM.

Most beautiful girl in the world.

Just sayin’.

I Reached a New Low

Just minutes ago, on my way home from visiting the girlfriend at work, the thought of fried, juicy chunks of processed chicken entered my thoughts. I immediately pulled into the closest McDonald’s drive-through where my car shut itself off not once, not twice, but THREE times during my attempt to order and retrieve my golden nuggets of joy. I think my car was trying to teach me a lesson… but I didn’t listen to it.

McNuggets 10-piece

I curse my body and it’s time-of-the-month cravings for crispy, tender, 29g-of-fat-per-serving McNuggets. And I curse my two-bit excuse of a wallet for not having enough money to buy me the delicious Ming Tree grilled teriyaki chicken that I deserve.

And today of all days! I was reading the latest issue of Marie Claire earlier today and found out that Ellen DeGeneres has been vegan for about a year and a half! I love Ellen. I was vegan from June 1, 2008 to June 1, 2009, exactly one year. Speaking of which, congratulations to my ex, Chris McClure who just passed the 1 year mark on his veganism! Hopefully, I’ll be able to overcome my fat-mindedness again someday and catch up with Ellen.

Return of the Chomptor!

My computer is back, good as new! I lost most of my documents to the virus including a few photos that were near and dear to my heart, but on the bright side I can now re-install The Sims 2 and forget to eat and sleep regularly  like the good ol’ days.

As for the Menace Beach photos, most were saved to my external hard drive. However, the 11/14/09 Menace Beach photos got eaten by the virus which makes me really angry because it was the One Year Anniversary celebration. I’m still hoping that they’ll turn up somehow though, along with the aforementioned “near and dear to my heart” photos.

As for the future, GET EXCITED! I decided to implement the first ever Menace Beach photo booth this past Friday and here’s a glimpse of what to expect:

Plastered Tallahassians are the best.

Expect approximately 180 more photos like this one sometime this week.

01/02/10 Edit: The virus somehow travelled onto the new harddrive and my computer is again useless. I’m unable to determine at this time when I will be able to reveal any new photos, as I’m broke and cannot get it fixed. Sorry!

Almost Thanksgiving

This video feels so fitting for Thanksgiving for some reason…

So good.

I miss my family something serious. I’m supposed to be home right now, actually. My mom, brother Chris, sister Gabby, foster mom Mary, and foster sisters Maggie, Frankie, and Chloe were all expecting me today. But I woke up sick. There was absolutely no way I was going to drive five hours in an iffy car without feeling well. I can’t decide if I’m driving home tomorrow or not though–I still have a headache. Maybe a snack will help? This is what I have in mind:

Cheddar cheese + Club crackers = HeavenAnd what is cheese-and-crackers without a little 80’s-influenced electropop?

La Roux (to me, atleast) is the English version of Yelle. No–SERIOUSLY.

Compare Yelle’s Je Veux Te Voir video or her A Cause Des Garçons remix video with La Roux’s Bulletproof video.
